More hullabaloo over kids at weddings

By November 10, 2025Wedding planning

We wrote about the controversy of kids at weddings last week. The subject has exploded into a national debate among prominent podcasters. Two podcasters with similar world views squared off against each other on the subject.

Matt Walsh, host of the Matt Walsh Show (above), offered a ten minute rant insisting that kids MUST be included in wedding celebrations. He didn’t pull any punches:

“It is in fact completely ridiculous and gross to exclude children from your wedding. It is extremely tacky, and that’s the most generous way to describe  it.”

Tell us how you really feel, Matt. To the argument presented last week, that children can become disruptive:

“If a child is disruptive, it’s very easy to remove them from the situation.”

Walsh leaves no wiggle room. Children MUST BE INVITED to family weddings.

Undeterred, his buddy Michael Knowles, host of the Michael Knowles Show (below), pushed back on his podcast:

“Yes, it is perfectly acceptable to exclude children from weddings. You shouldn’t be a jerk about it, and you shouldn’t give the side eye. You shouldn’t shame people for having children.”

But Knowles acknowledges that, of course, there’s no law that says you HAVE to include kids. As an example, he says if your invitation calls for a black tie affair, kids are not invited.

Common sense.

Both sides make persuasive arguments. We come down more on Knowles side in the kids at wedding debate. But the entire debate is fun to watch.

Speaking of fun, that’s where we come in. We specialize in wedding fun, offering top DJ entertainment, sumptuous lighting, and the always entertaining photo booth.

For the record, we love seeing kids on the dance floor! But even if they’re not invited, we know how to pack the dance floor regardless of the age of your guests.  Check out our availability today.
