Country Life lists it as the 29th most romantic first dance song EVER.

What makes its popularity so enduring? We checked out what our A.I. friends had to say in explanation of the song’s popularity. Here’s what they said about why the song is so compelling:
- Emotional range, because it expresses tenderness and yet conveys such power.
- Celebratory chorus. Almost everybody knows it, and for younger guests at a wedding who don’t it, they can pick it up very quickly. As a result, guests pack the dance floor when they hear it, with many exuberantly singing along.
