Most people love string quartets. As a rule, these groups play Bach, Mozart, and Pachelbel. How would you like it if they played Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Prince? You know, high brow popular music for the cocktail hour?

That’s what the Vitamin String Quartet (VSQ) does. This Los Angeles based group takes a classical music vibe and overlays it with contemporary music. Their music was featured on HBO’s hugely popular “Bridgerton” series, ABC’s “Modern Family,” and “MTV Unplugged” to name a few.

The lyrics aren’t a good fit for a wedding, are they? It’s a song about inner angst and loss of joy. And yet it’s a beautiful song. But in the lyric-free version, it’s a lovely song for the cocktail hour in VSQ’s hands:
